SAN MATEO, Calif., Apr 13, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --Keynote(R) Systems (Nasdaq:KEYN), the global leader in on-demand mobile and Internet test & measurement solutions for continuously improving the online experience, today announced the immediate availability of MyKeynote 10, the world's most powerful online performance monitoring portal, that provides new levels of insight, customization and flexibility to Web operations teams. MyKeynote 10 is a dramatic departure in terms of currently available SaaS solutions for monitoring Web site performance and represents a ground-breaking new technological approach for large enterprises that need to closely monitor on a 24x7 basis the speed and availability of their business-critical Web properties from the end user perspective.

Marty Boos, chief information officer at MarketLive said, "We host over 150 Web sites for mid-market retailers including Armani Exchange and Neutrogena. Dennis Drogseth, vice president at EMA, a leading IT management research firm said, "Keynote 10 provides a powerful and versatile war room equivalent for transaction management, user experience management and service management outside the fire wall." Drogseth continued, "Operations professionals should be pleased with its clarity, well-thought-out navigational options, and breadth of diagnostic insight. "The response to MyKeynote 10 from customers that have seen it has been universally enthusiastic," said Vik Chaudhary, vice president of product management and corporate development at Keynote. "We designed MyKeynote 10 for Web operations teams that need a unified operations portal that delivers at-a-glance displays of their Web properties. MyKeynote now delivers a host of one-click, fast access features so operations teams at online businesses can view large numbers of user scenarios or Web properties, instantly identify underperforming applications, and rapidly diagnose performance failures relating to response times or availability."

Real-Time Dynamic Dashboards

MyKeynote 10's new real-time dynamic dashboards represent cutting-edge technology and in-depth understanding of what it takes to run Web operations and monitor performance at the speed of the Web. Out of the box, Keynote dashboards deliver three preconfigured views that provide at-a-glance displays of all Web and mobile monitoring data including Keynote's industry leading Application Perspective(R), Transaction Perspective, Mobile Application Perspective and Mobile Device Perspective monitoring services.

Three preconfigured views out of the box:

The list view dashboard provides an overview of all customer's measurements with response time and availability statistics for the past five, 15, 60 minutes and 24 hours. There is now also an integrated alarm panel within the list view dashboard that displays alerts that have been triggered over the past hour.

The map view dashboard highlights cities, states and countries experiencing issues and focuses on one measurement at a time. The appropriate geographic map is displayed depending on the Keynote measurement computer locations for that measurement.

The grid view dashboard displays all Keynote measurement data aggregated by geographic region, as well as by backbone. Response time or availability data can be easily displayed for the past 15 minutes, hour, day, week or month.

Also provided within the real-time dynamic dashboards are a host of one-click, fast access features including:

  • One-click links to scatter plots with detailed response time results;
  • Time window slider to easily expand the data view from a single hour up to a full day's worth of data;
  • Ability to concurrently display different views on multiple monitors -- all fully interactive and automatically refreshed; and
  • Detailed hover over displays of measurement and threshold information.

Smart Alerts

Smart Alerts deliver flexibility and options that are customizable to the needs of Web Operations teams. New capabilities include the ability to instantly suspend one or all alarms with a single click - alarms are then automatically reactivated after a specified number of hours. Also, customers can define alarms based on the average availability over the past five, 15 or 60 minutes and have the option of only being alerted if the specified transaction or individual page fails multiple times in a row. Customers can specify how many consecutive failures result in a trigger.

Deep Dive Diagnostics

MyKeynote 10 delivers exceptional diagnostics capabilities from high-level views to instant drill downs to dynamic real-time content including:

  • Alerts with object level details. Customers can choose to include object level details in their alerts when a transaction fails.
  • Customizable scatter plots. Customers can display the scatter plot data with any response time metric and can include as many parameters as they need, for example: total measurement time, estimated cached time, DNS lookup, initial connection, SSL, redirection, request time, first byte download, base page download, content download and total user experience.
  • Object trending graphs. Customers can now create graphs around a particular object and include any one of the many response time metrics. There is no limit, multiple time components can be included in a single scatter plot.

Keynote's Powerful Network at Your Fingertips

The Keynote global test and measurement network of computers and mobile devices is the largest and most accurate real-time measurement, monitoring, and testing infrastructure in the world. It provides a true portrayal of what actual users are experiencing on their end of a Web browser or mobile device.
