With Keynote Enterprise Adapter 2.0, IT operations teams can now combine Keynote's rich Web and mobile performance and availability alerts into Nagios 3, the Open Source IT infrastructure monitoring solution.

Keynote Enterprise Adapter 2.0 integrates Keynote's industry-leading Internet and mobile performance monitoring alerts into an organization's existing enterprise management console. It works by transforming rich Keynote alerts into various formats that can be consumed by any console capable of receiving them. Formats include XML feed, CSV, log file and /or SNMP, and are delivered in a highly secure manner, retrieving performance events from the Keynote datacenter using only an outbound port.

Keynote has previously implemented its Enterprise Adapters for leading enterprise systems management platforms including CA NSM, HP Operations Manager, IBM Tivoli Software, Microsoft SCOM, BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Software, dynaTrace, OPNET APM software and Quest Foglight. The new integration with Nagios 3 delivers additional flexibility and options for those using open source IT monitoring solutions.

With the Enterprise Adapter 2.0, Keynote enables IT operations teams to:

• Display Web and mobile application performance and availability alerts on a single console;
• Pinpoint performance and availability problems for online Web and mobile applications on both sides of the firewall;
• Proactively manage internal and external Web and mobile application performance and availability.

The Adapter also allows Operations teams to monitor and ensure the performance and availability of any e-business application--including business-critical supply chain, eCRM, enterprise resource planning, business intelligence and asset management applications, as well as the performance of Web and mobile Web portals and applications.

With Enterprise Adapter 2.0, all Keynote alarms can now be viewed from Nagios 3, the powerful new, Open Source, IT infrastructure monitoring solution. Key features include:

• Ability to monitor logfiles for error text which is not native to Nagios;
• User-friendly interface into Nagios; and
• Separate Web-page with logfile alerts that can be viewed and deleted.

The adapters are available as software or a hardware appliance on an organization's network and retrieve performance events periodically from Keynote's datacenter. Unlike email (SMTP) alerts that are susceptible to delivery problems, the Enterprise Adapters verify that alerts have been received and will notify the customer's console if it is unable to reach the Keynote datacenter.

Keynote Enterprise Adapters are available through a hassle-free installation process, requiring no additional software or upgrades to install. The Adapters leverage existing infrastructures, optimizing operational resource utilization by providing performance events in a unified console.
